Purpose: This research aims to analyze the effect of workload on freelancer productivity, the effect of technology support on freelancer productivity, and the simultaneous effect of both variables on freelancer productivity in the context of the rapidly growing digital economy.
Methodology: This study employs a quantitative associative approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 active freelancers working on digital platforms. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS, including validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, partial tests, simultaneous tests, and coefficient of determination to examine the relationships between variables.
Research Findings: The results indicate that workload and technology support significantly influence freelancer productivity both partially and simultaneously. Technology support emerges as the most dominant factor in enhancing productivity compared to workload, showing that digital tools, internet access, and technological capabilities play a crucial role in improving work efficiency.
Contribution: This study contributes to human resource management literature by developing an integrated model of technology utilization and workload on freelancer productivity. Its novelty lies in focusing on digital-platform freelancers, an underexplored workforce context, and examining both factors simultaneously. Practically, the findings highlight the importance of optimizing technology use and managing workload to support sustainable productivity.
