Therefore, it is necessary to have learning support tools so that it is easier to deliver material so that students do not experience difficulties. The research focuses on analyzing mathematical concepts in pandan weaving crafts and exploring information related to the initial response if pandan weaving crafts are used as a mathematics learning medium. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research type with an ethnographic approach. Data obtained from the results of documentation and interviews. The data analysis techniques used are domain analysis, taxonomic analysis, component analysis and cultural theme analysis. In domain analysis, it consists of the domain of objects, tools and images. In taxonomic analysis, it is in the form of a concept map. In the component analysis, it is in the form of re-checking each component to obtain the validity of the data. In the analysis of cultural themes, five sub-themes were found in the form of geometry, lines, angles, congruence and revival. The results of the study showed an analysis of the existence of mathematical concepts contained in pandan weaving crafts. The method used in the study is Literature Study. The sample consists of several articles in journals. Data collection is carried out through the process of searching, learning, and analyzing references from relevant results related to students' understanding of mathematical concepts, reviewed from the year of research, level of education, research results and type of research. Based on the results of this literature study, it shows that students' mathematical understanding in solving mathematical problems on the set material is still prone to errors and misunderstandings. Some obstacles that often arise include shallow understanding of the definition and basis of sets, difficulty in applying set operations, and difficulty in understanding the concept of relations between sets at all levels. Further research is needed to understand in depth the conditions that affect students' mathematical understanding in the set material. In addition, the development of effective learning strategies also needs to be done to help students gain a better mathematical understanding in solving mathematical problems on the set material. This study identifies the causes of junior high school students' mathematical learning difficulties in the set material, such as lack of understanding of basic concepts, lack of practice and experience in applying the material. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive exploratory approach. Data were collected through literature review and document analysis. Data analysis followed the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which consists of four stages: data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the Dayak shields from West Kalimantan contain various geometric elements, including rectangles, isosceles triangles, reflectional symmetry, circles, reflection transformations, and translation transformations. A study needs to be conducted to find out how students think and choose the right steps in solving a problem. This study aims to determine students' deductive reasoning in solving geometry problems based on ethnomathematics in class VIII students of SMP Syarifatul Ulum Katerban. </em></p> <p><em>This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. The ethnomathematics-based geometry story test and interview guidelines are the instruments in this study. The data collected were the results of daily geometry test scores, test questions, and interviews. This study was conducted in class VIII of SMP Syarifatul Ulum Katerban. </em></p> <p><em>The results of the analysis showed that students with a high score category of 28% were able to meet the deductive reasoning indicators, namely having the ability to construct logical arguments (students are able to understand problems and are able to make plans in solving problems), having the ability to solve problems systematically (students are able to carry out plans by applying correct mathematical concepts), and having the ability to link knowledge with other contexts (students are able to evaluate results and check answers carefully). Mathematics is an abstract field of study, making it difficult for students to understand its concepts. Culture plays a role in providing concrete objects for learning mathematics. The integration of culture into mathematics is known as ethnomathematics. This study aims to explore the ethnomathematical elements in the attire of the Pontianak Sultanate and relate them to geometric concepts in mathematics education. This research is qualitative with an ethnographic approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, with Syech Arsula as the main informant. The findings indicate that various geometric elements, such as symmetry, patterns, and basic shapes, are present in the design of the Pontianak Sultanate attire. The research employs an ethnographic method with a qualitative approach. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating local culture into mathematics education through ethnomathematics to provide more relevant and applicable learning experiences for students while preserving cultural heritage</em></p> Rina Kurniati Ucik Fitri Handayani Copyright (c) 2025 Bahasa Indonesia https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2025-06-30 2025-06-30 4 1 66 76 10.24260/add.v4i1.4140 PENGEMBANGAN MATH COMIC BERBASIS CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KREATIF MATEMATIS https://e-journal.iainptk.ac.id/index.php/al-adad/article/view/4073 <p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan <em>math comic</em> berbasis <em>Contextual Teaching and Learning</em> (CTL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa dalam materi bilangan bulat pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak yang mencapai tingkat kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan.&nbsp; Penelitian ini menggunakan model rancangan pengembangan ADDIE, yang terdiri atas lima tahapan pokok, yaitu <em>Analisys</em> (analisis), <em>Design</em> (perencanaan), <em>Development </em>(pengembangan), <em>Implementation</em> (penerapan), dan <em>Evaluation</em> (evaluasi). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak sebanyak 31 orang siswa.&nbsp; Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi, angket, dan soal <em>posttest</em>. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang pertama adalah validasi <em>math comic </em>berbasis CTL yaitu dengan nilai rata-rata dari ketiga ahli sebesar 83,23% dalam kriteria valid. Yang kedua adalah nilai kepraktisan, dilihat dari nilai angket yang diisi guru dan seluruh siswa yang diakumulasikan sehingga diperoleh persentase sebesar 83,06% dengan kriteria sangat praktis.&nbsp; Selanjutnya keefektifan, dilihat dari hasil pengerjaan <em>posttest</em> siswa dengan jumlah siswa yang tuntas sebanyak 25 siswa dari 31 siswa dengan persentase 80,64% dimana kriterianya efektif.&nbsp; Demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan <em>math comic </em>berbasis <em>Contextual Teaching and Learning </em>(CTL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dalam&nbsp; materi&nbsp; bilangan bulat&nbsp; di&nbsp; kelas&nbsp; VII&nbsp; SMP 13 Negeri Pontianak tergolong valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk digunakan.</p> Muna Muniroh Dwi Oktaviana Yadi Ardiawan Copyright (c) 2025 Bahasa Indonesia https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 2025-06-30 2025-06-30 4 1 77 88 10.24260/add.v4i1.4073 PERAN TEKNOLOGI DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA: ANALISIS STUDI LITERATUR https://e-journal.iainptk.ac.id/index.php/al-adad/article/view/4573 <p><em>This study aims to examine the role of technology in mathematics learning through a literature review. The main problem highlighted is the low motivation and achievement of students in mathematics, often due to traditional teaching methods that are less engaging. Using a qualitative approach with a literature review design, data were collected from relevant scientific articles published in national and international journals indexed by SINTA and Scopus. The findings indicate that technology plays a vital role in supporting mathematics education. Various interactive learning media, such as interactive multimedia, GeoGebra, Wordwall, augmented reality (AR), QuizWhizzer, and 3D printing technology, have been proven effective in helping students grasp abstract mathematical concepts by making them more concrete. Additionally, technology can enhance students’ motivation, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving abilities, leading to more meaningful learning experiences. For teachers, technology facilitates the design of more varied, interactive, and student-centered lessons, thus supporting their role as facilitators. However, the implementation of technology still faces challenges, particularly regarding infrastructure limitations and teachers’ readiness to operate technology-based learning media. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 3 di SDN 1 Bae yang berjumlah 20 orang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari dua siklus. Pada setiap siklus dilakukan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitataif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan menerapkan media pembelajaran “komuka” (Kantong Mudah Perkalian) dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa secara aktif yang dibuktikan adanya peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa yang sudah mencapai target. Pada siklus pertama tingkat ketuntasan siswa mencapai 60% dan siklus kedua meningkat menjadi 85%. In mathematics learning which is generally considered abstract, Padlet is expected to be able to increase students' understanding and activity through more interactive and visual media. The research method used is a mixed approach with data collection techniques in the form of pretest and posttest tests, perception questionnaires, observations and interviews which were carried out in October 2024. The results of the research show that learning using this padlet is less effective in improving understanding of mathematics material in a direct and structured manner. However, students showed a preference for using Padlet, which was considered more interesting because it provided interactive features such as collaboration, note sharing, and material visualization that motivated them to participate actively. Overall, Padlet increases student engagement in mathematics learning and encourages collaborative interaction.
