SHARIAH CROWDFUNDING: CONCEPT AND EMPIRICAL STUDIES

Abstract

Crowdfunding, atau urun dana, menjadi alternatif sumber pendanaan yang populer, terutama untuk ide kreatif dan proyek sosial. Keunggulan model ini terletak pada kemudahan penggalangan dana dengan kontribusi kecil tanpa standar kelayakan yang ketat. Platform digital memungkinkan akses ke berbagai komunitas tanpa batasan geografis. Kesuksesan crowdfunding di negara maju mendorong penerapannya di negara berkembang, dengan crowdfunding syariah menjadi segmen baru yang berkembang pesat. Meskipun belum mapan secara konsep, crowdfunding syariah memiliki potensi besar, terutama di negara seperti Indonesia, Malaysia, dan Singapura. Penelitian sebelumnya lebih fokus pada crowdfunding berbasis imbalan dan ekuitas, namun crowdfunding sosial dan syariah masih kurang dipahami. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan gambaran tentang sejarah dan mekanisme crowdfunding, integrasi keuangan syariah, dan perilaku crowd dalam konteks crowdfunding syariah.
