Abstract
The purpose of this study was to find out how the rules in learning Arabic at Ma'had Al-Jami'ah at IAIN Pontianak are. In addition, the purpose of this study is also to determine the learning motivation of the students of Ma'had Al-Jami'ah IAIN Pontianak after the application of regulations in learning Arabic.
This study also aims to determine the effect of regulations in learning Arabic on students' learning motivation. In this study, researchers used a quantitative approach with experimental methods. as for data collection techniques using interviews, documentation and questionnaires. The result of this research is that the rules in learning Arabic at Ma'had Al-Jami'ah are in the good category. it can be seen from the learning outcomes of students and the instruments related to it, one of which is the obligation of students to speak Arabic from after the dawn prayer until the evening. while the learning motivation of Ma'had Al-Jami'ah students after the application of rules in learning Arabic shows a good motivation. there is a significant influence of regulations in language learning on students' learning motivation. it can be seen from the results of statistical analysis that the value of R Count is greater than the value of R table (0.515> 0.206).
