Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) The design making of Arabic learning media based on third grade; 2) The results of expert validation of Arabic learning media based on question and answer cards for third grade; and 3) The effectiveness of Arabic learning media based on question and answer cards to master the question word for third grade students. This research is a research and development which refers to Plomp's development model (Preliminary Investigation; Design; Construction; Test, Evaluation, and Revision; and Implementation). Data collection instruments in this research and development used observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation.

The results of this research and development show that 1) in the design making process, the results obtained are the product design of question and answer cards with a size of 10 cm wide and 15 cm high, as well as the selection of letters, letter size, image and writing position, and background selection have been adjusted using the Canva application; 2) the results of the questionnaire assessment by media experts obtained an average score of 4.9 classification of “very good” criteria, the questionnaire assessment by material experts obtained an average score of 5 classification of “very good” criteria, and the questionnaire assessment by Arabic language learning experts obtained an average score of 4 classification of “good” criteria; 3) the results of the effectiveness of the question and answer card media obtained from the student response questionnaire assessment with an average score of 4. classification of “good” criteria.
