About the Journal

Counseling As Syamil: Jurnal Ilmiah Bimbingan Konseling Islam (P-ISSN 2808-7445; e-ISSN 2808-7151) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Islamic Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Faculty of Ushuluddin, Adab, and Da'wah, State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Pontianak, Indonesia.

The journal provides an academic forum for the publication and dissemination of original research and scholarly studies in the field of guidance and counseling, with particular emphasis on Islamic guidance and counseling. It accommodates diverse theoretical, empirical, and interdisciplinary perspectives, including normative, educational, psychological, sociological, religious, and other approaches relevant to the advancement of scholarship and professional practice in guidance and counseling.

The term As Syamil reflects the journal's commitment to a comprehensive and inclusive approach to guidance and counseling. Accordingly, the journal covers a broad range of areas, including educational, social, religious, community, family, multicultural, and other relevant forms of guidance and counseling.

Counseling As Syamil welcomes contributions from academics, researchers, practitioners, and students whose work contributes to the theoretical development, empirical understanding, and professional practice of guidance and counseling. The journal publishes original research articles and review articles addressing contemporary issues in Islamic guidance and counseling and related disciplines.

Counseling As Syamil is published twice a year, with one issue published between January and June and another between July and December, in both print and online formats.

All submitted manuscripts must be original, research-based or scholarly works that have not been previously published and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment followed by a blind peer-review process involving qualified reviewers in the relevant field.

Manuscripts may be submitted in English, Arabic, or Indonesian and must meet the journal's academic and linguistic standards. All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal's online submission system at https://e-journal.iainptk.ac.id/index.php/as-syamil/submissions.
