Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.- The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Author Guidelines
ONLINE SUBMISSION PROCEDURE
Jurnal Psikologi dan Psikologi Islam uses an online submission platform. This system enables authors to trace the progress of their manuscript submission and speed up the article’s processing time. For the initial stage, authors must conform to our guidelines (see the manuscript structure). Manuscripts that do not comply with the guideline will be rejected.
General Author Guidelines
All submissions are done online via http://ejournal.iainptk.ac.id/equanimity
ID should be your email address being actively used now. If you have an account but forgot your password, click the "Forgot Your Password?" button. Your password will be given to your email address on your request. To begin, enter your User ID and password into the boxes provided, and click. At the welcome screen, click "New Submission" button. After that, click a button to submit your new manuscript and follow for steps.

Title |
Maximum of 15 words in English and Indonesian. The title should be concise and straightforward in describing the content of the article. May use creative titles to attract readers. The word influence, relationship, and case study should not be used within the title. |
Author

Write the full name of the authors without their titles and email correspondence. In the event that a script is written by a team, the editor only relates to the lead author or author whose name is listed in the first order. The lead author is given the *) sign Corespondent Author. Abstract |
Should be written in both English and Indonesian. Authors must supply a structured abstract in their submission, which includes; Purpose, Design/methods/approach, Findings/results, Implication. Maximum 250 words in total excluding keywords. Do not use abbreviations and citations. |
Keywords |
Include 3-5 keywords or phrases, arranged in alphabetical order and separated using semicolons (;). Avoid using terms that are too general or long. |
Introduction |
TIntroduction provides adequate background or context (problem and its significance) of the study. The subject should not be written extensively. It is expected that rationale or purpose of the study (gap analysis), the objective in general and specific, and hypothesis (if any) should be expressed clearly. Present a clear "state of the art" of the subject, which discussed literature and theoretical concepts behind it. A concise general background may be included in the article. Present at least 5 (five) recent related works to support the novelty of the research and hypothesis. Categorize the article into one of the following: (1) Research article, (2) Psychology article, (3) Concept development, and (4) Case study. Avoid the use of secondary citations. |
Methods
|
Consist of variable identification, research subject, instrument, and methods, including the statistical analysis technique used. Avoid directly quoting definitions from a book in the method section. |
Results |
Write results in logical sequence. Results with important findings should be present first. Present the outcome of the study. Use tables and figures whenever appropriate. Results should be able to answer the hypothesis. |
Discussion |
The section need to address connections between findings and basic concepts or hypothesis made earlier. Authors should also express whether any arguments were needed relating to other works from other researchers. Write implications made by the work related to theoretical or applications. This section should not be a repetition of the result section. Describe only new and important aspects of the study. |
Conclusions and Implications |
The conclusion should be linked to the title and objectives of the study. Do not make statements not adequately supported by your findings. Present limitations of the study. And give the suggestion for the next research. Write the issues that are new or unsolved, and give the suggestion for the future research, policy suggestions, etc. Do not make further discussions, repeat the abstract, nor only list the results of research results. Do not use bulleted points, use paragraphed sentences instead. |
References |
All reference results referred mainly to journal articles, research reports, and conference proceedings, rather than rely heavily on textbooks or handbooks to demonstrate articles' novelty in the subject discussed, up to the last 10 years. Authors are strongly urged to use a reference manager such as Mendeley as a tool in referencing is preferable and encouraged. References should be carefully checked for completeness, accuracy, and consistency. References must be prepared according to the APA Style 7th Edition. |
The review process focuses on the contribution, novelty, originality, relevance, and presentation of the article. In the initial step, the submitted manuscript is reviewed by the Editor. Only manuscripts that are in line with methodology as well as focus and scope of Psikoislamika will be further checked for plagiarism by using ithentic or turnitin.
Peer Review Process
The manuscript will be sent to at least two anonymous reviewers (Double Blind Review). Reviewers' comments are then sent to the corresponding author for necessary actions and responses.
The suggested decision will be evaluated in an editorial board meeting. Afterward, the Editor will send the final decision to the corresponding author. The review process will take approximately 4 to 12 weeks.
Review Outcomes
Utilizing feedback from the peer review process, the Editor will make a final publication decision. Decisions categories include:
- Reject - Rejected manuscripts will not be published and authors will not have the opportunity to resubmit a revised version of the manuscript to Psikoislamika: Jurnal Psikologi dan Psikologi Islam.
- Resubmit for Review– The submission needs to be re-worked, but with significant changes, it may be accepted. However, it will require a second round of review.
- Accept with Revisions - Manuscripts receiving an accept-pending-revisions decision will be published in Psikoislamika: Jurnal Psikologi dan Psikologi Islam under the condition that minor/major modifications are made. Revisions will be reviewed by an editor to ensure necessary updates are made before publication.
- Accept - Accepted manuscripts will be published in the current form with no further modifications required.
Becoming a Reviewer
If you are not currently a reviewer for Psikoislamika: Jurnal Psikologi dan Psikologi Islam but would like to be added to the list of reviewers, please contact us. The benefits of reviewing for JOSI include the opportunity to see and evaluate the latest work in related research area at an early stage, and to be acknowledged in our list of reviewers. You may also be able to cite your work for Psikoislamika as part of your professional development requirements. Psikoislamika reviewers are volunteers who contribute their expertise to the science, thus no financial payments are made.
Instructions for Revised Submissions
- Please provide a copy of the revised text with changes marked in the text using either tracking changes or highlighting.
- In your written response to the reviewers’ comments, give the page number(s), paragraph(s), and/or line number(s) where each revision was made
- Respond to each referee’s comments, indicating precisely the changes made in response to the critiques. Also, give reasons for suggested changes that were not implemented, and identify any additional changes that were made
- Revisions not received within 1 month will be administratively withdrawn. For further consideration, the manuscript must be resubmitted. At the editors’ discretion, and in cases where substantial new data are required, extensions may be granted for revisions. In such cases, every effort will be made to retain the original reviewers

5. Co-Authorship
If the article was jointly prepared by more than one author, any authors submitting the manuscript warrants that he/she has been authorized by all co-authors to be agreed on this copyright and license notice (agreement) on their behalf, and agrees to inform his/her co-authors of the terms of this policy. Psikoislamika will not be held liable for anything that may arise due to the author(s) internal dispute. Psikoislamika will only communicate with the corresponding author.
6. Royalties
Being an open accessed journal and disseminating articles for free under the Creative Commons license term mentioned, author(s) aware that Psikoislamika: Jurnal Psikologi dan Psikologi Islam entitles the author(s) to no royalties or other fees.
