KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS MATEMATIS SISWA DALAM MENYELESAIKAN SOAL KEKONGRUENAN DITINJAU DARI SELF CONFIDENCE

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' mathematical critical thinking skills in solving congruence problems based on students' self-confidence. The research method used is descriptive qualitative analysis with data collection using tests, questionnaires and interviews. The research was conducted on 23 students of class XII IPA MA Al-Khoirot. The research subjects were selected three students based on self confidence, namely high, medium and low. The results obtained data that students with high Self-Confidence level can fulfill four indicators of mathematical critical thinking ability, while students with moderate Self-Confidence level can fulfill two indicators of mathematical critical thinking ability and students with low Self-Confidence can only fulfill 1 indicator of mathematical critical thinking ability. In this case, it means that students' mathematical critical thinking patterns are connected to their self-confidence, the higher the level of self-confidence that students have, the higher the level of mathematical critical thinking.
