PERAN SISTEM MONETER ISLAM DALAM MENGATASI KRISIS KEUANGAN

The importance of this research is to see the role of implementing the Islamic monetary system, such as the prohibition of usury, and the role of the central bank in dealing with the financial crisis that occurred. This journal aims to build the Islamic financial system paradigm and explain solutions based on this paradigm in dealing with financial crises based on the causes. major crisis.This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Research data collection techniques are through various sources such as previous research articles, books, and also the internet. The research results state that this research shows that the application of sharia principles in the Islamic monetary system has not been able to completely overcome the financial crisis, however, the application of sharia banking can reduce moral risk and increase the stability of the financial system and the prohibition of usury can reduce the formation of asset bubbles which trigger them to occur. it's a crisis. The main role of Bank Indonesia in maintaining financial value stability is implementing interest rate instruments in open market operations. To overcome financial stability problems, BI took steps such as providing liquidity loans based on sharia principles to systematic banks and non-systematic banks experiencing liquidity difficulties.
