About the Journal

Jurnal Manajemen Dakwah (J-MD) is a reputable international scholarly journal committed to maintaining rigorous academic standards through a double-blind peer-review process. Published by the Da’wah Management Study Program at the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Pontianak, Indonesia, J-MD has consistently disseminated high-quality scholarly works since its inaugural publication in July 2020. To ensure academic rigor and publication quality, manuscripts considered for publication are required to undergo at least three rounds of peer review.

J-MD provides an academic platform for the advancement of da’wah management as an interdisciplinary field of inquiry. The journal brings together perspectives from management, organizational studies, communication, sociology of religion, leadership, and contemporary Islamic studies, thereby encouraging broader and more integrated approaches to the study of da’wah and its institutional development.

Within this framework, da’wah is understood not merely as a religious activity, but also as a complex social, organizational, and institutional phenomenon that requires systematic, innovative, and evidence-based management. Accordingly, J-MD encourages conceptual and empirical scholarship that advances theoretical understanding and contributes to international academic discussions on the governance of religious organizations, values-based leadership, Islamic strategic communication, and the institutional transformation of da’wah in response to changing social environments.

With a strong emphasis on methodological rigor, theoretical significance, and practical relevance, J-MD welcomes original research articles, conceptual papers, and systematic literature reviews. Contributions are expected to demonstrate scholarly novelty, offer meaningful theoretical or empirical insights, and support the development of professional and sustainable management practices within da’wah organizations at both national and international levels.
