Abstract

Purpose: This study systematically examines the relationship between Perceived Organizational Support (POS) and employee job satisfaction across occupational sectors, organizational settings, and employee groups. Method: A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) followed PRISMA 2020 guidelines, identifying 12 eligible studies from 475 Scopus-indexed articles published between 2020 and 2026. Study quality was assessed using the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) checklist, followed by descriptive and narrative synthesis. Findings: POS is consistently and positively associated with job satisfaction across diverse sectors. Employee recognition, supportive supervision, organizational fairness, adequate resources, and employee well-being are key contributing factors, although relationships vary across organizational contexts. Research Limitations/Implications: The review was limited to Scopus-indexed studies published between 2020 and 2026. Methodological differences constrain generalizability and causal interpretation. Future research should explore broader databases, longitudinal designs, and mediating or moderating mechanisms. Practical Implications: Organizations should prioritize employee recognition, supportive leadership, fair policies, adequate resources, and flexible working arrangements to enhance job satisfaction. Originality/Value: This review integrates recent cross-sector evidence through Organizational Support Theory and Social Exchange Theory, highlighting consistent relationships, contextual variations, and future research directions.
