CALL FOR PAPERS
Al-Aqad: Journal of Shariah Economic Law invites scholars, researchers, and practitioners to submit their best manuscripts for publication. The journal publishes original, high-quality research that explores diverse dimensions of sharia economic law and Islamic commercial law (fiqh muamalah) through normative, interdisciplinary, and comparative perspectives.
Submissions are encouraged to address legal, institutional, and contemporary issues related to sharia-based business transactions, Islamic financial institutions, sharia contracts, and economic dispute resolution within local, national, and global contexts. The journal welcomes both doctrinal (library-based) and empirical research that contributes meaningful theoretical, methodological, or practical insights and advances scholarly understanding of Sharia economic law.
Topics may include, but are not limited to: Islamic commercial contracts (wadi’ah, qardh, mudharabah, musyarakah, muzara’ah, mukhabarah, ijarah, murabahah, salam, istisna’, musaqah, wakalah, kafalah, hiwalah, ju’alah, etc.); sharia-based financial institutions (banking, microfinance, insurance, reinsurance, mutual funds, bonds, securities, financing, pawnshops, pension funds); sharia contract law and engagement; as well as sharia economic dispute resolution mechanisms.
All manuscripts submitted to the journal will undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure scholarly quality, originality, and academic relevance.
