Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is typed using Cambira Font type 12 with space 1.5 A4 paper size. Size margins: top 3 cm, left 3 cm, bottom 3 cm, right 3 cm. The length of the article is a minimum of 4.000 words and a maximum of 8.000 words, including figures, illustrations, tables, and bibliography.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

  1. The article must be original and based on research that is not yet published elsewhere.
  2. The article is the result of research, both field research and library research.
  3. Please submit your article in Indonesian, English and Arabic.
  4. The article is typed using Cambria Font type 12 with space 1.5 A4 paper size. Size margins: top 3 cm, left 3 cm, bottom 3 cm, right 3 cm. The article's length is a minimum of 4.000 words and a maximum of 8.000 words, including figures, illustrations, tables, and a bibliography.
  5. The article must include: 1) title, 2) author's name (without title), 3) author's agency, 4) author's email, 5) abstract in English and Indonesian, 6) keywords in English and Indonesian, 7) introduction, 8) discussion, 9) conclusion, and 10) bibliography.
  6. The article should also include an abstract of about 150-250 words and 3-5 keywords.
  7. Quotations (footnotes) and bibliography must follow the Chicago Manual Style 17th Edition Style and use one of the reference tools, Zotero or Mendeley.
  8. The reference follows this format: Author, Title (italic), Place, Publisher, Date. E.g.: (1) Footnote: John R. Bowen, Muslims through Discourse: Religion and Ritual in Gayo Society (Princeton: Princeton University Press, 1993), 25. Moch Nur Ichwan, "Differing Responses to an Ahmadi Translation and Exegesis: The Holy Qur'ân in Egypt and Indonesia," Archipel 62, no. 1 (2001): 144, https://doi.org/10.3406/arch.2001.3668.   9. The bibliography is written alphabetically.
