PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN METODE DISKUSI BERBANTUAN MEDIA VIDEO ANIMASI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK

Abstrak

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of grade II students at SDN 02 Galing District. This study aims to describe: 1) Student learning outcomes in grade 2 mathematics subject. 2) The steps on how to utilize the discussion method assisted by animated video media. 3) The influence of the use of discussion methods assisted by animated video media. 4) how influential the use of the animated video-assisted discussion method.

The type of this research is quantitative research with a pre-experimental design with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The location of this study was located at SDN 02 Galing District as the source of data for research was II grades consisting of 22 students. The techniques of data collection in form of tests, observation and documentation. The tools of data collection include multiple-choice written tests (pretest-posttest), observation sheets and documentation (mobile phone and camera). The data analysis used is descriptive analysis and inferential analysis using a normality test and hypothesis test (t-test).

The conclusions of this study are: 1) Pretest and posttest learning outcomes, with the average score of pretest learning outcomes of 50.91 and the average score of posttest learning outcomes of 72.27. 2) The results of the observation sheet that have been observed by the teacher of 2 grades that the steps on how to utilize the discussion method assisted by animated video media have all been implemented. 3) The results of the pretest normality test of 0.021 > 0.005 the resulting data are normally distributed and in the posttest normality test of 0.200 > 0.005 the data result is normally distributed. In the t-test analysis of two samples paired with assisted IBM SPSS 23 statistics obtained that probability (sig. (2- tailed)) 0.00 < 0.005 then Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted in other words there were differences in learning outcomes before and after using animated video media. 4) Amount of the influence on the use of discussion methods assisted by animated video media to improve student learning outcomes in mathematics subject in grade II SDN 2 Galing District is 61.4%.
